Romero Britto’s art is some of the most recognizable in the modern art scene. He is one of the most successful pop artists of the twentieth century and his work has garnered widespread critical acclaim and popularity among private art collectors. Born in Recife, Brazil in 1963 Britto fell in love with art at an early age and has been entirely self-taught. He moved to Miami in 1988, and his artistic style fit in perfectly with the cities vibrant, upbeat, and colorful culture. His art career began to explode, and he soon began lending his art to a number of commercial enterprises. In 1989, he created the “Absolut Art” campaign for Absolut Vodka alongside famous pop artists Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.
