Alexandra Nechita's "Faces of Happiness" lithograph is emblematic of her signature style and shows why she is the foremost contemporary cubist. A child prodigy, the media dubbed Nechita the "Petite Picasso." By the time she was only ten years old her work was exhibited in top galleries around the world. "Faces of Happiness" includes the bold colors Nechita is known for, but the muted background gives this piece a decidedly moodier, more serious tone. Alexandra Nechita's "Faces of Happiness" lithograph on paper is signed by the artist and comes with a Gallery Certificate of Authenticity.

A child prodigy dubbed the “Petite Picasso,” Alexandra Nechita is one of the foremost contemporary cubists. She was sketching with ink by age two, and painting with watercolor by age five. By age ten, her work was shown in top galleries throughout the world. By the time she reached high school she became the youngest artist ever signed with International Art Publishers. With her talent at such a young age, she also became a pop culture sensation. Alexandra Nechita has designed the program for the Grammy’s, been on the Oprah Windfrey show, and played herself on the hit sitcom “Boy Meets World.” As a teenager, her original paintings routinely sold for more than $100,000. Nechita has many celebrities that collect her art, including Whoopi Goldberg, Ellen DeGeneres, Alec Baldwin, and Little Richard.

Cubism is one of the most recognizable and popular art movements, yet there are very few popular artists that widely use those techniques today. Nechita’s work has many hallmarks of classical cubism as pioneered by Pablo Piaccso and Georges Braque, but it also has modern elements that differentiate her work and make it relevant to the contemporary art world today. Although she is best known for her original paintings, serigraphs, and lithographs, Nechita works in a variety of mediums including bronze and glass sculpture.
